ENOC Group implements screening tests and disinfection measures at staff accommodation
ENOC Company has introduced a rigorous system of routine diagnostic checks and disinfection procedures for its workers staying inside its designated accommodation facilities.
In order to secure nearly 6,000 of its employees, the Occupational Health Service Center (OHSC) of ENOC has introduced a screening system in accordance with the recommendations provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), which requires disease classification, disease recognition, stratification procedure, time allocation of cases and accelerated monitoring.
In addition, the organization has already implemented a robust preventive and surveillance initiative, an integration strategy, and an Infectious Disease Reduction Pandemic Strategy.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC, said: “The health of our employees, our clients, and the credibility of our products and activities are our highest concern in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to sustain our activities and continue to fulfill our mission to satisfy Dubai’s energy needs, we placed in place a comprehensive strategy earlier in February to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These initiatives represent the importance that we put on the health of our staff, as well as our clients, associates, stakeholders, and the broader community.
The Company also performs routine disinfection of staff quarters; includes deep washing, disinfection, and ventilation in all personnel rooms and washrooms, includes walls, open areas, and other facilities; and also constructed fogging tunnels to fully disinfect all observable surfaces of the human body upon entry and departure of housing units and in all high-risk areas of activity.
The disinfection cycle uses a highly effective chemical licensed by foreign and local safety and environmental bodies to be used without the need to evacuate workers. The department frequently performs a comprehensive risk evaluation for all employee residences on a weekly basis to constantly track and determine the role of the worker’s accommodation.
In fact, designated busses carrying workers to the service station locations are disinfected on a regular basis during each journey to and from the accommodation. In an attempt to retain social isolation controls, the number of busses carrying workers has risen in order to preserve a 30 percent seating space on each bus.
ENOC has adopted a revised guideline on the workforce, a lock-down manual and an insulation plan that requires designated insulation rooms for each lodging facility. The Company also built a forum for consultants and healthcare providers to be accessible around the clock to resolve any situations that may need medical treatment. Health professionals may treat patients both personally and online via the Occupational Health Service Center of ENOC and the dedicated bilingual contact center.
In addition, the Organization also introduced advertising programs and webinars to ensure that its staff complies with health authorities’ recommendations, such as keeping social boundaries, washing faces, using masks and gloves, and utilizing sanitizers. In addition, the Company has also introduced a number of webinars targeted at the emotional and physiological well-being of workers.

ENOC Group’s Staff accommodation safety measures
The proactive intervention plan initiated by ENOC’s Occupational Health Care Center focuses on three key fields of prevention and control of infections: case classification and detection, clinical tests and therapeutic methods, and comprehensive analysis of the patient background and final outcomes. The reports are subsequently sent to the UAE health authority for clarification and comparative purposes.
