Oman’s hotel revenues fall 12.3% to RO124.177 million in H1 2026
The number of guests in hotels classified from 3 to 5 stars in the Sultanate of Oman reached about 992,009 guests by the end of June 2026, recording a decrease of 13 percent compared to the same period in 2025, which amounted to 1,140,086 guests.
The latest statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that the total revenues of these hotels decreased by 12.3 percent to reach RO 124.177 million compared to RO 141.520 million during the same period of 2025.
The occupancy rate also declined to 46.3 percent, compared to 54.6 percent during the same period of last year, a relative decrease of 15.3 percent. The data indicated that the number of Omani guests rose to 395,659, compared to 383,783 guests during the same period in 2025.
According to the data, European guests topped the list of non-Omani guests during the first half of this year, with their number reaching 246,603 guests, followed by Asians with 162,978 guests, and then guests from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with their number reaching 69,289 guests.
The number of other Arab guests reached 41,090, the number of American guests reached 30,546, while the number of guests from Oceania reached 9,644, and the number of African guests reached 6,969.
