As per the disclosure, Mr. Sulaiman Al Harthi submitted his resignation on August 8, 2026, and it was accepted by OAB’s Board of Directors on August 9. He will continue to play an important role at the bank until the end of 2026 focusing on the successful completion of OAB’s proposed merger announced on July 19, 2026, along with the subsequent regulatory processes and disclosures.
The Board expressed its appreciation to him for his leadership and continued support, particularly as the bank navigates a significant period of transition.
As part of OAB’s succession plan, the Board has approved the appointment of Ali bin Saif Al Mani as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2027. His appointment remains subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
Mr. Ali Al Mani currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Alizz Islamic Bank and brings more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services. Over the course of his career, he has held several senior leadership roles at prominent financial institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
