144 Oil & Gas industry leaders golf for a noble cause at ADIPEC 2015

Top-level oil and gas industry professionals united at the second edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) Golf Day tournament today to give back to the community. Sponsored by Emerson, Oilserv and Sigma Engineering Works, ADIPEC’s annual invite-only charity tournament took place on the championship course at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

The event featured fundraising activities, with all donations made to Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), a UAE charity that delivers moral, financial, and clinical support to patients and their families.

Close on the heels of the success of last year’s event, more than 100 industry leaders, played to support cancer patients and their families, including representatives from Shell, Mubadala Petroleum, the Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADOC), ADMA-OPCO, and Zakum Development Company (ZADCO).

Prizes were awarded to first, second, and third place teams winning the overall competition in the various categories like hitting the ball nearest to the pin, the straightest drive, and the longest drive, as well as the winner of the ‘Hit the Gong’ charity challenge.
