ASYAD Restructures; Focus On Logistics Services

Muscat: The ASYAD Group’s Board of Directors has decided to revamp the business structure in – line with its aim to focus on key logistics services like port services, free zones, shipping, dry-docks, e-commerce services, and last-mile delivery. This decision comes as a consequence of the Group’s decision to enhance its domestic and global presence.
As part of the restructuring – the board announced the dissolution of the Oman Roads and Transport Management Company (ORTMC). The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology will take over the reins of all the contracts of ORTMC while the employees of ORTMC will be reassigned to other units and all sub-contracted employees will return to their parent holding.
Looking towards the future, ASYAD will focus on increased cooperation with the private sector as per the directive of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA).
