Liva Insurance demonstrated its strong commitment to community and social responsibility by proudly joining the Royal Air Force of Oman’s (RAFO) Traffic Day event, held at Ghala Air Force Base on Monday, 14th April.
The event was held under the patronage of Senior Air Staff Officer Zahran bin Nasser Ambusaidi, and served as a key highlight of the wider Gulf Traffic Week observed throughout the region from 13th to 17th April.
This year’s Traffic Day went beyond the traditional conversations around road safety, weaving together education, empowerment, and community engagement. By engaging different government and privet sector entities such as Oman Human Rights Organisation, Ministry of Education, Mwasalat, Oman Oil Marketing Company, Directorate-General for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and others, this event created a wholesome experience, providing innovative and promising ideas for a safer future.

Liva Insurance, as part of its growing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, embraced the opportunity to support the event, focusing on a mission that is at the heart of its values: creating awareness and shaping a safer future for Oman.
Through its exhibition stand and community activities, the brand actively contributed to raising public perception about responsible driving behavior, road safety best practices, and the importance of embedding a safety-first mindset among all road users, especially the youth.
A key highlight of the day was a special recognition ceremony hosted by Liva Insurance, honoring students from various schools across Oman who had made exceptional contributions to promoting traffic safety. These young champions showcased innovative projects, creative campaigns, and meaningful initiatives, underlining how the next generation is stepping forward to build safer communities.
Speaking at the event, Hanaa Al Hinai, CEO of Liva Insurance, shared her thoughts: “Keeping our roads safe is really about caring for the people around us. At Liva Insurance, we believe that real change starts with awareness – and it’s the energy and ideas of young people that can make a real difference.
“Today, as we honor students who have stepped up for this important cause, we are reminded how every bit of effort matters. This event is not just about doing our part, it’s about standing together with the community to make every journey safer for everyone.”
This year’s Traffic Day event created a dynamic platform for dialogue and learning, where government entities, private sector organisations, and civil society came together under a common goal: saving lives and promoting safer mobility. By taking part in this impactful event, Liva Insurance continues to lead by example, championing causes that matter most to the people of Oman.
The company’s steadfast dedication to social responsibility, combined with its focus on community partnerships, is a reflection of its mission to be more than an insurer – to be a true guardian of safety and community progress.
