Blizzard Entertainment President Steps Down

The producer of the game “World of Warcraft” and “Call of Duty” said that the president of Blizzard Entertainment, J Allen Brack, has “resigned”.
The parent company, Activision Blizzard, stated that Mr. Braque “is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.”
California is suing the company, accusing it of gender discrimination and a culture of harassment in its workplace.
Activision Blizzard denied the allegation, calling the legal action “shameful and unacceptable.”
Many Activision Blizzard employees came out to protest the company culture and respond to the allegations.
Blizzard Entertainment said in a statement that Brack will be replaced by Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra, who will lead the company henceforth.
Although the statement did not mention the allegations against Blizzard, it said that the new leader “will ensure that Blizzard becomes the safest and most welcoming workplace for women and people of any gender, race, or origin.”
In the accompanying statement, Mr. Brack thanked the Blizzard community for “their enthusiasm and determination for the safety and equality of all.”
The California Department of Housing and Fair Employment, which filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, criticized Mr. Brack in court documents for not doing enough in responding to the complaint.
In an internal email sent to employees obtained by Bloomberg, Brack stated that he despised the “brother culture” and had been fighting against it throughout his career, saying that the employee behavior detailed in the allegations was “completely unacceptable.”
