Al Falaj Hotel Muscat is organizing an authentic traditional Japanese music, song and dance evening titled ‘The Footsteps of a Geisha’ by the Fukagawa Geisha sisters at Tokyo Taro on March 25 and 26 from 8 pm and 10 pm.
Geisha are traditional entertainers who specialize in performing Japanese music, dance, song and a variety of instruments including hand drum, shoulder drum, shamisen or Japanese flute. Geisha performers are distinctively characterized by their traditional costumes and makeup.
The Geisha sisters belong to the Fukagawa Geisha house located in the Fukagawa district of Kōtō, Japan. One of the members, Fiona Caroline Graham or known by her Japanese name Sayuki, is an Australian anthropologist.
