Saudi’s NEOM City Ready To Receive His Majesty, On His Maiden State Visit

NEOM City: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading smart city is all set to welcome His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik al Said, on his first official visit since he became the Sultan of Oman. Neom city was planned to be a pathbreaking smart city that would pave the way for the urban models of the future that ensures a balance for living with nature without cars and noise.
The prized project is located in Northwest Saudi Arabia and extends over an area of 26,500 km, with investments amounting to $500 billion. The city is the main project of “Saudi Vision 2030”.
The first phase of the city is projected to be ready in 2025, and the remainder of the work phases will be completed in a period of 30 to 50 years.
The visit is part of the first state visit of His Majesty to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since, his ascension to the throne, which was realised in response to the kind invitation that the His Majesty the Sultan received from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
During the visit, discussions will cover all aspects of cooperation between the two countries with a view towards upgrading bilateral relations, realizing the aspirations of the two peoples, and achieving the objectives set in all fields. The discussions also aim at reaching results that serve common interests and establishing a more prosperous future for the two countries.
