International Celebrity Motor Rally ‘Gumball 3000’ Will Come To Oman In 2022

Gumball 3000, one of the largest celebrity motor rallies in the world, is expected to come to Oman this year for the 23rd annual and the first middle east rally as per the establishment’s website.

This year’s route is slotted between November 12 and 20 and will take Gumballers on an eclectic journey full of unique cultural experiences, from futuristic cities, to desert havens, to some of the best coastal roads in the world before finishing the adventure at the Yas Marina Circuit for the finale of the Formula 1 season.

This year’s rally starts in Dubai, where Gumball 3000 will open the rally in style once again with a free live concert for Gumballers and fans, before dropping the flag in Downtown Dubai and heading on our epic adventure through the desert.

The rally will then take a circular route through the Sultanate of Oman before the finale in Abu Dhabi.

Along the way, the rally will feature some of the best roads that the region has to offer alongside some once-in-a-lifetime cultural experiences unique to the region. There will be major stops in Jebel Akhdar, Salalah, Muscat and Ras Al-Khaimah alongside a number of exciting checkpoints.

What is Gumball 3000?

Founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, Gumball 3000 is a car rally which has taken thousands of supercars and entrants on an epic journey all across the globe, touching down on every continent to create one of the greatest bucket list experiences possible behind a wheel. The name is inspired by the 1976 movie ‘The Gumball Rally’.

Since its establishment, the road rally has featured numerous notable drivers, such as F1 racer, Lewis Hamilton, musicians Deadmau5, Xzibit, Usher and Tinie Tempah, and actor, David Hasselhoff.

The rally changes the start and finishing point every year, with some rallies requiring travel by air to make the start and finish points.
