Oman’s MEDC To Go Paperless From January; All Electricity Bills To Be Paid Online

Muscat: The Muscat Electricity Distribution Company (MEDC) has taken its first step towards outlining its green initiatives by terminating its paper bill service.
The decision will come into effect from January 2021, following which customers will only be able to pay electricity bills online.
A statement issued by the company on Twitter stated: “We would like to draw the attention of our valued customers in the Muscat Governorate. MEDC is in the process of issuing electricity bills electronically as of January 2021.
“Customers can easily activate the green bill service through our website: www.medcoman.com. We can also provide help through the call center on our toll-free number: 800 7000 08.”
Customers will be able to procure their bills from the following channels:
1) Website: www.medcoman.com
2) Instant chat with Noor through WhatsApp: 7272 7770
3) MEDC’s mobile application
4) Call center: 800 700 08
The statement added: “This step comes to facilitate the process of obtaining the invoice and the digital orientation of the company.”
