Madayn Organises ‘Walking For Good Health’ Walkathon At Raysut Industrial City
Muscat: As part of its social responsibility activities to enhance the spirit of initiative and cooperation among community members, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”, represented by its Social Responsibility Department, organised the third edition of ‘Walking for Good Health’ Walkathon at Raysut Industrial City.
The walkathon aimed at encouraging the companies based at Raysut Industrial City to contribute with financial donations to charitable organisations in the Sultanate, spreading awareness on the role of sports and physical activities in lifestyle change, and spotlighting the significance of physical activities and walking exercise, particularly for people with diabetes and heart disease.
Participants representing different segments of the community took part in the walkathon to support the charitable associations in the Sultanate. Moreover, Al Noor Association for the Blind (Dhofar), Omani Bahjah Orphan Society and Oman Cancer Association (Dhofar) participated in the event, which was sponsored by several companies including Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries, Raysut Steel Industries, A’Saffa Foods, National Cable Factory, Salalah Mills, Salem Mohiyaddin bin Saif and Bros Company, Salalah Medical Supplies Manufacturing, Oman Industrial Investment, Peace Land Trade and Cont., Jawharat Al Fanar, Oasis Water Company, Omani Vegetable Oils and Derivatives Company, and Lifeline Hospital.

‘Walking for Good Health’ Walkathon comes within Madayn’s efforts to promote social responsibility activities and strengthen its role in serving the local community through a friendly and sporty gathering as the funds raised by the walkathon were dedicated to the charitable organisations in Oman.
