Ian Dench Steps Down As Ooredoo Oman CEO

Muscat: Ian Charles Dench has resigned from his position as the Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Oman (Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company S.AO.G).
In a statement issued on Sunday [March 21], the Muscat Securities Market revealed: “The Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company S.AO.G would like to disclose that Mr. Ian Charles Dench has resigned from his position of Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Oman on the 18 March 2021 for personal reasons.”
At the time of resignation, Ian Dench had served the company for over four years, having joined the Omani team in January 2017. He had earlier held senior positions with Ooredoo Qatar and other telecom companies in the GCC.
“The Board of Directors of Ooredoo Oman shall announce the name of the new CEO once the appointment process is finalised,” Ooredoo added in its statement.
