Under the Royal patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Oman’s Promotional Brand was launched at Al Barakah Palace today.
At the ceremony, His Majesty the Sultan was briefed about the stages through which Oman’s Promotional Brand was developed, in addition to the process of engaging segments of society and relevant public and private sector parties in developing the identity and the project’s outputs designed to inculcate positive mental images of the Sultanate of Oman at the local, regional and global levels by unifying communication messages, expanding related digital content and promoting the same through the application of the best global tools and practices.
The approach also lays emphasis on the principle of integration and consistency among all government institutions and private establishments entrusted with promoting the Sultanate of Oman as a destination for investment, tourism and residence.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan graced the results of the community’s vote, as well as the visual slogans that were put up for voting. The slogan “Partnership” received the highest percentage among the total number of votes cast by Omanis and residents. His Majesty the Sultan stressed that this slogan constitutes part of a well-established strategy devised to lead the integrated promotional system of the Sultanate of Oman.
His Majesty the Sultan pointed out that, with its promotional nature, this slogan incarnates aspirations for a future of modernization, highlights the deep-rooted values of interconnection and integration with the peoples of the world, interacting with the civilizational components and features of the Sultanate of Oman and utilizing them to support communication messages.
The choice of the slogan “Partnership” goes hand in hand with the Sultanate of Oman’s approach to strategic relations with the world. This approach stems from the principle of mutual trust when establishing economic and strategic partnerships with Arab and friendly countries. It is based on the view that the Sultanate of Oman represents a point of contact between the East and the West.
His Majesty the Sultan lauded all government units and private sector establishments for their efforts in supporting the voting campaign on Oman’s Promotional Brand. His Majesty valued the participation of different segments of society, including Omanis and residents.
His Majesty the Sultan commended the role of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers, which oversaw the project to develop the unified Promotional Brand of the Sultanate of Oman. He also commended the technical and administrative teams of the National Program for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development “Nazdaher”, thanking them for their efforts to develop the strategy of Oman’s Promotional Brand in cooperation with the relevant government units and private establishments that contributed to the project in all its stages.
His Majesty the Sultan instructed the government units to adopt the outcomes of the brand – each within the ambit of its specialization – to ensure the successful implementation of the outputs of the brand’s strategy and to unify the promotional efforts and communication messages of the relevant institutions of the Sultanate of Oman.
The ceremony was attended by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, (Chairman of the Finance and Economic Committee at the Council of Ministers), Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (Supervisor General of Nazdaher), Hussein bin Ali bin Abdul Latif, Adviser at the Private Office, and Sayyid Dr. Sultan bin Ya’arub Al Busaidi, Adviser at the Private Office.
