HM Reaffirms Commitment Towards Overcoming COVID-19 & Regional Cooperation

Muscat: Speaking at the Council of Minister’s meeting held in the Cabinet’s premises, His Majesty the Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik reaffirmed his stance on eradicating the menace of COVID-19 and enhancing cooperation among GCC countries.
His Majesty the Sultan started by commended the efforts made to tackle the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. He thanked all health workers and expressed his appreciation for their valuable and tireless contribution towards curbing the ongoing pandemic.
In addition to recognizing the efforts made by the healthcare sector, His Majesty the Sultan also stressed the significance of pressing ahead with the national immunisation campaign and the importance of raising the awareness of citizens and residents about dutiful adherence to measures set by the departments, laid out for prevention of the extensive spreading of the disease.
On the topic of regional cooperation, His Majesty stated the continuation of the GCC economic cooperation programmes is imperative during such try. He also reaffirmed the Sultanate’s permanent stands and principles advocating rapprochement among countries to achieve security and establish stability for all.
