The long wait will come to an end this June for Marvel gamers. Because it’s just been confirmed by Square Enix that they will reveal Marvel’s Avengers on June 10 at 6PM PT, during E3. Yes, the game which was earlier titled ‘Avengers Project’ is now called ‘Marvel’s Avengers’. It was first announced in 2017, with a teaser trailer. Since then there’s been no information on its development. But now, we know that it’s officially coming.

The game is being developed by Crystal Dynamics studio, under Square Enix itself. This studio is majorly known for creating the rebooted popular franchise of Tomb Raider featuring Lara Croft.

Square Enix recently announced their own conference for June 10, for revealing the game, during the E3. There, they will showcase the first look, (and hopefully some gameplay) of the anticipated console game itself. It may be in the form of gameplay trailer, extended reveal trailer, or anything.

The game will also feature Eidos Montreal that was behind recent Deus Ex and Shadow of the Tomb Raider games.

It will be the first part of a ‘multi-year multi-game’ partnership between Square Enix and Marvel. That means that many more Marvel games will be coming up, apart from Avengers.

When the first teaser trailer was released for the Avengers game, in 2017, the description read:

More details on The Avengers project and other games will be announced in 2018.

But going into 2019, there was no update on it, neither from Marvel or Square Enix, until May. The anticipation for the game was also building due to Marvel’s popularity with MCU movies, and especially the Avengers. Fans wanted to turn into their favorite MCU superhero characters and fight against the super villains.

When it comes to the story, then as of now there’s no new update on that. But as per the 2017 teaser trailer, the description for Avengers game was this:
