OUIC Earns Coveted Insurance Sector Trophy At Alam Al-Iktisaad Awards

Building on its impressive track record as a consistently top-performing entity among public listed companies within the Sultanate of Oman in the Mid Cap Category, leading insurance services provider Oman United Insurance Company SAOG (OUIC) has once again proven its excellence by securing a prestigious award at the latest edition of the Alam-Al-Iktisaad Awards (AIWA), held recently at the Sheraton Oman Muscat.
Headquartered in Muscat, OUIC claimed the coveted accolade for ‘Excellence in Insurance Services’ for the year 2022, further validating its exceptional prowess encompassing astute underwriting practices, proficient claim settlement processes and innovative product development. These specialised competencies have firmly established OUIC as a leading force in Oman’s insurance industry.
Notably, the latest award marks the eighth such honour received by OUIC at the Alam Al-Iktisaad Awards—an annual showcase that lauds top corporate leaders, outstanding business performers and achievers of the year. As has been the case in previous editions of AIWA, the most recent event drew the elite of Oman’s business community. AIWA 2023 was graced by His Highness Sayyid Malik bin Shihab Al Said, who served as the Chief Guest and presented the awards to the deserving winners. OUIC was represented at this prestigious gathering by a cadre of senior management executives.
This latest award underscores OUIC’s unmatched standing as a premier player in Oman’s insurance sector, with a robust market presence across the pivotal product segments of the industry.
In response to this recurring recognition, Sayyid Nasser bin Salim Al Busaidy, Chief Management Executive of OUIC, commented, “We are thrilled to be acknowledged for the eighth time as an outstanding publicly listed player in the Omani insurance sector. OUIC takes pride in its overarching vision to consistently excel as Oman’s preferred insurance services provider across all facets of its diversified portfolio, which includes Motor, Life, Health, Travel, Liability and other General Insurance. This vision is firmly rooted in the company’s enduring commitment to principles of integrity, exemplary customer care, sustainable value creation and a culture of teamwork.”
