Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara’s Ramadan Initiatives
From donating clothes to hosting charity iftars and reaching out to children in hospitals, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara organized a number of activities this Ramadan
Ramadan is a period of giving and sharing. During the holy month this year, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara undertook activities to support those in need in the area.
Clothing donation for Omani Bahjah Orphan Society
For the second consecutive year, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara organised a clothing collection of new and pre-loved items for donation to the Omani Bahjah Orphan Society. Almost 200 staff participated in donating 220 kgs of clothing. The items then joined other donations in a special makeshift store onsite at the Omani Bahjah Orphan Society where families in need are encouraged to enjoy a free shopping spree.
Charity Iftar in Dahariz
Also for the second year in a row, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara visited various mosques in the Dahariz area to hand out delicious Iftar boxes containing a traditional meal including main course, sides, salad and sweets. The resort prepared and distributed 1500 boxes to those less fortunate in the community who may not be able to enjoy a traditional Iftar.
Karankasho at Sultan Qaboos Hospital
For the children spending this Ramadan in hospital, it was important for Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara to ensure they still were able to enjoy the spirit of the Holy Month and not miss out on the fun of Karankasho. Bearing traditional gifts of toys and games, a group from the resort visited the pediatric unit at Sultan Qaboos Hospital to bring cheer and a few smiles to the faces of the young patients.
