Alizz Islamic Bank CEO wins ‘Best Arab CEO’ award
The Arab Best Awards was launched in 2016 to recognise and celebrate excellence in leadership, business, community and sports in the Arab world. Aisha al Kharusi, head of strategy, branding and corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Alizz Islamic Bank accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the CEO.
Expressing appreciation for honouring him with the award, Shaksy said, “This award recognises the success of our institution which is being achieved by staying focussed on our pioneering strategy of being the leading Islamic bank in the sultanate. I thank the Arab Best Awards for this recognition which is a clear indication that our organisation is on the right track and it encourages us to excel further.
Alizz Islamic Bank plans to continue to take significant steps in its mission to become the premier Islamic financial services provider in the country by providing innovative Sharia’a compliant solutions and world class services to our customers.”
Shaksy had joined Alizz Islamic Bank as the chief executive officer in June 2014. Shaksy is a member of Oman’s State Council and deputy head of its economic committee. He has been recently appointed to the board of Orpic, and chairs its board executive committee. He is also a member of the board of directors of Oman Oil Company and chairman of its board audit and risk committee.
