Ghubra branch customer wins RO100,000 from Qitaf in Ahli Islamic
Ahli Islamic has conducted the first quarterly prize draw for its Shari’a compliant account holders “Qitaf”; under which a lucky winner has won a whopping RO100,000!
Qitaf, which is based on the Islamic Mudaraba principle, offers customers the opportunity to invest their capital in profitable assets, while giving them the opportunity to qualify for cash prizes, through a draw system, subject to a criteria set by the Bank.
Shedding light on the significance of Qitaf – Yousuf Al Rawahi – DGM, Head Ahli Islamic stated, “The Qitaf account plays an important role in encouraging our customers to develop the habit of saving and rewards them significantly for their efforts in maintaining a prudent balance in their accounts. On behalf of Ahli Islamic, I would like to congratulate the lucky winner H. S. Al Mahruqi – Ghubra Branch Customer on winning RO 100,000, under the Qitaf prize draw. We hope this prize will help him achieve his dreams and inspire many others to save.”
“As the Sultanate’s Islamic bank of choice, Ahli Islamic will continue to make available new and attractive ways to reward our customers; while encouraging them to adopt positive financial habits to realise their long-term goals.”
Account holders can win valuable prizes worth more than RO 1 Million in prizes through the savings and rewards account “Qitaf” by participating in weekly, monthly, quarterly and special occasion draws. Qitaf account holders are automatically eligible to participate in the draws once an average minimum balance of RO 100 is maintained in the account. The minimum eligibility for the quarterly draw however, is RO 1,000.
With unique savings opportunities coupled with maximum customer convenience, Qitaf’s prime objective is to instill a culture of savings among its customers and reward them for their prudence.
Qitaf’s weekly prize draws offer guaranteed cash prizes for two winners from each branch of Ahli Islamic; with each winner being rewarded with RO 250.
Rewarding a customer with RO 20,000, across the bank’s network of branches through Qitaf’s monthly draws. The quarterly draws, take place in March, June, September and December and offer a prize money of RO 100,000 each quarter, to one winner across the Bank’s branch network. All Qitaf account holders can withdraw cash through OmanNet ATMs across Oman and enjoy free internet and mobile banking services as well.
Ahli Islamic had conducted a special prize draw for customers, to celebrate the launch of Qitaf in January 2020, where 50 Qitaf account-holders won RO 1,000 each (5 winners from each branch). In a similar vein, a special prize draw will also be held on the occasion of the 50th National Day, rewarding 50 winners with RO 2,000 each.
