UAQ Extends New Year 2020 Holiday

Umm Al Quwain has announced a two-day break for New Year 2020. Government and private offices of the emirates will remain closed on January 1 and 2.
In a circular issued by the UAQ government on Sunday, January 1 and 2 2020 were declared holidays for the government sector. Combining it with the weekend, residents of the emirate will be enjoy a four-day break. Work will resume on Sunday, January 5, 2020.
The federal government has announced a one-day break on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Offices will resume on Thursday, January 2.

The next public holiday will be in May 2020 for Eid Al Fitr. The break could be four to five days long depending on the lunar month of Ramadan.
