Coca – Cola Loses $4 Billion Over Christiano Ronaldo’s Lack of Endorsement At Euro 2021

Portuguese Football legend – Christiano Ronaldo, generated a considerable buzz for overtaking Michel Platini’s record for the highest number of goals scored in UEFA Euro matches, with his current tally standing at 11 goals post-Portugal’s Group F opener against Hungary.
But his prowess on the field wasn’t the only significant occurrence as, during the post-match news conference, Ronaldo opted to move aside the two bottles of Coca – Cola and followed it up by holding up a bottle of water and exclaiming: “Agua! (Water)” in Portuguese.
This refusal to endorse the brand resulted in Coca – Cola’s shares plunging from $ 242 billion to $ 238 billion – A loss of $ 4 billion, according to a report from the Daily Star.
