Ahlibank Continues Extending Its Community Support; Sponsors Dar Al Atta’a’s ‘back To School’ Campaign
Muscat: Committed to effectively contribute to the local community, ahlibank has lent its support to the ‘Back to School’ campaign organized by the Dar Al-Atta Association – Oman’s premier social service entity. The sponsorship not only reaffirms ahlibank’s position as a responsible corporate, but also translates its commitment to strengthening ties with Omani grass root organizations, to meet the needs of low-income families, and thereby achieve sustainable socio-economic development in the Sultanate.
Dar Al Atta’a’s Back to School campaign is a strategic approach towards catering to students from under privileged families as the school doors reopen after 15 months. This noble initiative includes providing part of the study materials for students of various ages, in accordance with the standards set by Dar Al Atta’a Association.
Praising the active role of ahlibank in supporting this campaign, the Honorable Maryam bint Issa Al-Zadjali, the Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a Association, said, “We thank ahlibank for cooperation to assist in achieving this campaign’s objectives, which was launched in record time and will have a positive impact on our children and young people. We believe that this initiative will play a major role in encouraging them to start their school year with diligence and strong will. Since its establishment, Dar Al Atta’a has been one of the leading associations concerned with achieving the demands of society. Also, it has been working to stand by insolvent families to meet their needs in all aspects of life, where I believe this can only be achieved through a partnership between all sectors to promote integration in the society.”
On behalf of ahlibank, Mrs. Najla Al Lawati, AGM- Head of Private Banking and Wealth Management, ahlibank said “I would like to congratulate our students on the beginning of a new and promising school year. Their return to physical classes, after the exceptional circumstances resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, is a moment of great joy for Oman. At this juncture, it is our duty and responsibility to stay true to our unaltered support to the community and to these kids, whose future is of utmost importance for the development of our country. For this purpose, the prized efforts of Dar Al Atta’a team are truly commendable and places great merit in their dedication to alleviating the burden on parents through this resourcefulness. Such joint efforts between charities and public and private sector institutions to make substantial and moral contributions, as well as to support meaningful community initiatives play a pivotal role in the socio-economic benefits to the country. At ahlibank, we continue to contribute and enhance our involvement under our social responsibility umbrella, which includes various sectors including education, as a key pillar for bringing generations up for a promising future, which will in turn bring growth and prosperity to the society”.
ahlibank’s commitment to playing a positive and active role in caring for the people of the community across all segments, sets a benchmark in the way corporate across the country must dispose their social responsibilities. The Bank adheres to a strategic roadmap that defines key pillars of community engagements and close attention to these is given by the bank’s Management and staff.
