Oman and Saudi Arabia in Talks for Bilateral Transport and Logistics
Muscat: Officials from Oman and Saudi Arabia (KSA) held an official meeting today on fields related to transportation and logistics.
During the session, the two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation in various areas focusing on transportation and logistics to achieve aspirations of the two countries.
Oman and the KSA reiterated the importance of augmenting strategic cooperation and accelerating the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.
The Omani side was headed by Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, while the Saudi side was headed by Eng. Saleh Nasser Al Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services.
The session was attended by Dr. Ali Mas’oud Al Sunaidy, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ), Dr. Rumaih Al Rumaih, Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Eng. Khamis Mohammed Al Shamakhi, Transport Undersecretary, Maj.Gen Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations at the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and Eng. Naif Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
