Oman Airports Hosts World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony For The Second Time

Oman Airports will sponsor the WTA Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2022, now in its 29th edition, for the second time at the Al Bustan Palace, A Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the 11th of November.
The event will be attended by hundreds of senior airline, hotel, and tourism industry officials.
Commenting on this important step, Sheikh Aimen Ahmed Al Hosni, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Airports, said: “Having hosted the 26th edition of this prestigious global event with great success, we are pleased to once again invite major players in the tourism industry to visit the Sultanate of Oman and attend the WTA Grand Final Gala Ceremony.”
He added: “Hosting this global event falls within the framework of our role in supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in placing Oman on the map of major global events. We are confident that the presence of the best travel and tourism companies from around the world, and the accompanying media coverage, will reflect positively on these efforts.”
Graham Cooke, Founder of WTA, said: “It is an honour to host our Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Muscat for the second time. Our first ceremony in Oman, in 2019, was a great success that prompted us to repeat the experience and return to this beautiful country again. In recent years, the Sultanate of Oman has emerged as one of the top destinations for millions of travelers, as well as a major regional hub. It will be an honor for me to welcome top decision-makers from major travel and tourism companies to the beautiful capital city of Oman.”
Established in 1993 in England, the World Travel Awards celebrates its 29th anniversary this year. Its annual programme is renowned as the most prestigious and comprehensive in the global tourism industry. Travel and tourism-related companies and hotels the world over are always keen to participate for a chance to win one of their illustrious awards. Doing so is an achievement that provides them with the ideal marketing tool to promote their winning products and services.
Sheikh Aimen Al Hosni concluded: “With the FIFA World Cup taking place in the region this year, and Muscat being one of the satellite cities to host fans, I am sure our participants will have a wonderful experience. We guarantee that every participant attending the Gala Ceremony will be left speechless by the beauty of our city; right from the very first moment they step through the gate at Muscat International Airport, all the way to the Al Bustan Palace, one of the most beautiful hotels in Muscat, and with every other tourist attraction the capital has to offer, they are in for a mesmerising experience from start to finish.”
Each year WTA covers the globe with its Grand Tour – a series of regional gala ceremonies to recognise excellence within each continent, culminating in a Grand Final at the end of the year. The winners of these regional ceremonies are going head-to-head at the Grand Final in Oman on 11th November when the winners of the prestigious World categories will be unveiled.
