HM The Sultan Presides Over Sheikhs Meet From North Al Batinah, A’Dhahirah, Al Buraimi

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave audience to sheikhs of the governorates of North Al Batinah, A’Dhahirah and Al Buraimi at Bait Bahjat Al Andhar here today.
The audience was in pursuance of His Majesty’s Royal meetings with citizens from all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman and within the context of collaboration that embodies solidarity between the leader and the people to bring about benefits for the nation and citizens.
At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan gave thanks and praise to the Almighty Allah for the riches He has bestowed on Oman, praying to Him to eternalize these bounties and safeguard the success of Oman’s Renewed Renaissance.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan reviewed a host of issues of relevance to projects and future plans in the aforementioned governorates. His Majesty laid emphasis on the significance of reciprocal action between the government and citizens to serve the overall goals of the nation.
His Majesty the Sultan gave his Royal directives to implement projects that are added to approved projects of the Tenth Five Year Plan (2021-2025). The additional projects, with more than RO 650 million, will have to be implemented during the remaining period of the 5-year plan in different sectors. His Majesty the Sultan also gave directives to augment by RO 200 million the financial liquidity of the Developmental Budget’s allocations of this year, to bring the total of the earmarked sum to RO 1.1 billion.
These Royal directives come within the context of His Majesty the Sultan’s attention to enhance economic growth, sustain services, complete the basic infrastructure, support private sector activities and provide more employment opportunities for citizens.
Later, His Majesty the Sultan engaged in an open dialogue with the Sheikhs of the three governorates, who raised a variety of issues related to the development of their respective wilayats, as well as the services and projects that they wish to be implemented in their parts of the country.
The meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, the Governors and Walis of these governorates.
