Orpic to contribute $6.5bn to Oman’s GDP from 2020 onwards: Dr. Hilal Al Hinai, Orpic

Orpic currently contributes on average $4.2 billion per year to Oman’s GDP which is equivalent to 5 per cent of total annual GDP. Upon commissioning of all growth projects in 2020, this number will increase to $6.5 billion per year to Oman’s economy. The growth projects will further promote opportunities for small to medium enterprises, which will also have a positive impact on the In-Country Value (ICV) being generated by Orpic. This was stated by Dr. Hilal Al Hinai, General Manager – Corporate Support Services, Orpic while speaking at the Ministry’s annual media briefing held on 20 March 2016 in Muscat, Oman.
