MAF Refinery is aiming for a higher utilization rate, informs Essam Al Sheibany of Orpic

Orpic’s MAF Refinery is aiming for a higher utilization rate after achieving a record-breaking level of 92 per cent in 2015, informs Essam Al Sheibany, GM – MAF Refinery Operations, Orpic. “We first started with a production level of 50,000 barrels a day, than increased it to 85,000 bpd. In 2007, we undertook another round of expansion to increase our production capacity to 106,000 bpd. In 2015, we achieved 92 per cent utilization rate, the highest in our history. This remarkable achievement has been enabled due to our Reliability Improvement Journey which we initiated three years ago,” he further informed. He talks more about MAF Refinery in the video.
