Quarantining At Home Cannot Be Considered As Sick Leave: Minister of Health

Muscat: Staff in companies in Oman cannot avail sick leave for days spent at home in quarantine, as per an announcement by H.E. Dr. Ahmed al Saeedi, the Minister of Health.
In a statement to the public, the minister said: “The home quarantine period for returning travelers cannot be considered as sick leave, and the traveler must calculate that period from his/her leave balance.”
Currently, all passengers arriving in the Sultanate have been requested to present a negative PCR test certificate within 96 hours prior to their scheduled time of arrival in Oman.
