Ooredoo launches new leadership development programme, ‘Spring Forward’
Under the patronage of HE Sayed Salim Musalim Al Busaidi – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Affairs and Development, Ooredoo announced the launch of the first wave of participants from a new development program, ‘Spring Forward’, during a press conference at the Grand Millennium. Following the success of Springboard, which was specifically for women, Spring Forward is open to both men and women who aspire to lead.
Ian Dench, CEO of Ooredoo, said: “We want our customers to enjoy the internet, and we also want entrepreneurs to prosper from the internet. Our commitment is to contribute to the growth and development of Oman’s economy by nurturing the country’s talent and supporting digital business. Through this program, we are providing opportunities which will empower and develop the younger generation. Open to men and women across all sectors, Spring Forward is all about Oman’s future leaders.”
Spring Forward focuses on growing and further developing the strengths of its participants by teaching them how to be more aware, build team working skills, and demonstrate the required leadership skills to rise to the top. Highly motivated candidates looking to drive change will work closely with industry leaders and licensed trainers to develop their own leadership style and build on their strengths. Currently, 80 participants from different sectors and ministries have registered and started their first session.
Ooredoo’s commitment to inspiring the next generation is driven by the company’s values of promoting human growth. To date, Ooredoo has trained hundreds of women from its previous development program and aims to see hundreds more men and women alike benefit from Spring Forward.
