Oman Food Safety Authorities Warn About Contaminated Ice Cream Product

Muscat: The Food Safety and Quality Centre (FSQC) has warned people that flavoured ice cream products under the trademark Haagen-Dazs, are contaminated with ethylene oxide.
The products that bears the operational batch numbers (3415581311716 – 3415581101010 – 3415580503518 – 3415581586718) for the validity period from July 6, 2022, to May 21, 2023, were contaminated with ethylene oxide,” the Centre stated on their official twitter handle.
In the interest of the health and safety of the consumer, the Centre would like to confirm that it has taken everything necessary to stop the import of the aforementioned product at the border crossing points, and is currently working to ensure that it is withdrawn from the local markets, in coordination with the concerned authorities and examining other operations.
The Centre requests all consumers to avoid consuming the above specified batch numbers of these products.
