Oman Air And OFA Renew Sponsorship Agreement

Muscat: Oman Air, the country’s national carrier, has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Oman Football Association (OFA), renewing its role as the key partner and official carrier for the national football teams in the Sultanate.
Oman Air CEO Abdulaziz Al Raisi and Oman Football Association Chairman Sheikh Salim Al Wahaibi signed the agreement.
Oman Air CEO Abdulaziz Al Raisi welcomed the renewed partnership, highlighting the airline’s continued role as the official carrier. “As a strategic partner of the Oman Football Association, we are delighted to renew our role as the official carrier and extend our support for national football teams across the country as they journey to success in regional and international competition. Our national football teams are not only a source of pride and inspiration for Omani youth, but they are respected country ambassadors who reflect our values as a people and our aspirations as a nation,” he said.
“We look forward to their many achievements and the subsequent positive impact on the strengthening of football in Oman.”
He wished Oman’s national football teams the very best of success for their upcoming final match at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Russia, as well as for all upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifying matches.
Fahad bin Abdullah Al Raisi, General Secretary and CEO of the Oman Football Association, expressed equal enthusiasm for the renewed agreement, stating, “Our journey with Oman Air began 10 years ago and renewing our partnership today reflects the collaborative strength of our relationship and our mutual commitment to the advancement of football in Oman. Looking forward, we hope to develop new opportunities together which not only strengthen Omani football in the Sultanate but also play an important and inspiring role in the development of our future players.”
Oman Air’s longstanding collaboration with the Oman Football Association dates back to 2012. In the years since, the airline has extended support to several national football teams and activities, facilitating travel and providing flights to game cities on its international network. As the Sultanate’s national carrier, these efforts have not only helped raise the profile of national teams globally, but also put Oman on the map internationally.
