New Fish Market Inaugurated In Barka
Barka: The new Fish Market was inaugurated on the 24th of June, in the fishing port of Barka as part of the port’s project (Barka Marina). The inauguration was conducted with strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
The opening included operating all facilities related to the fish market, regulating the entry of fish transport vehicles and transporting fish from boats to the (auctioning) area, as well as operating the auctioning system at the designated site.
The outlets include 72 shops for sellers, 21 others for fish cutting, and selling sites for fishermen and fish transporters, distributing tools and equipment necessary for sellers and fish cutters that come as support from the Ministry during the initial operating phase.
