Hotel Bookings To Be Made Via ‘Sahala’ Platform For Institutional Quarantine In Oman

Muscat: Travellers entering Oman must now book their hotel for institutional quarantine via the ‘Sahala’ platform that is directly linked to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 apps.
This new rule, as per the Civil Aviation Authority, will be enforced for passengers entering the Sultanate from 2:00 pm on March 29. Travellers arriving before the said date can continue to book a hotel stay of their choice directly with the hotel or through booking websites.
The Sahala platform falls under eMushrif, and all airlines have been requested to stay alert and ensure that “the passengers are holding a confirmed booking via the Sahala platform”.
The platform is a Relief and Shelter Sector of the Ministry of Social Development initiative that has been developed in collaboration with other competent authorities.
It is mandatory for passengers entering the Sultanate via land, sea, and air borders to download both the eMushrif and Tarassud+ apps from the app store.
The statement from eMushrif reads as follows:
1- All arrivals into the Sultanate starting from 2:00 pm on Monday, 29th March 2021, shall book accommodation in hotels and institutional isolation via Sahala platform on https://covid19.emushrif.om/
Exemptions to categories mentioned above in the above two previous circulars are still applicable.
2- Airlines are responsible for ensuring that the passenger is holding a confirmed booking via the Sahala platform.
3- All other requirements as stipulated in previous circulars remain valid.
