His Majesty The Sultan Issues Royal Decrees Instructing The Construction Of Dams Across Oman
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued three Royal decrees reading as follows:
Royal decree No. 20/2023 ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing dams for protection against flood water (ANS02 & ANS03) in Wadi Al Ansab in the Wilayat of Bawshar, the Governorate of Muscat.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing dams of protection against floods (ANS02 & ANS03) in Wadi Al Ansab in the Wilayat of Bawshar, the Governorate of Muscat, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that authorities concerned may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the project aforementioned in article (1), along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 64/78.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal decree No. 21/2023 ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing a dam for protection against flood water in Wadi Tahwa, in the Wialyat of Al Kamil Wa Al Wafi, the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing a dam of protection against floods in Wadi Tahwa, in the Wialyat of Al Kamil Wa Al Wafi, the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that authorities concerned may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the project aforementioned in article (1), along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 64/78.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal decree No. 22/2023 ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing a dam for protection against flood water (Z4C) in Wadi Al Zuhaimi in the Wilayat of Liwa, the Governorate of North Al Batinah.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing a dam of protection against floods (Z4C) in Wadi Al Zuhaimi in the Wilayat of Liwa, the Governorate of North Al Batinah, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that authorities concerned may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the project aforementioned in article (1), along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 64/78.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
