His Majesty Chairs Cabinet Meeting
Muscat: His Majesty the Sultan Haitham bin Tariq – may God protect him – chaired the esteemed Council of Ministers Meet at the Council’s Premises in Muscat.
His Majesty began the meeting by addressing God Almighty with praise and gratitude for his abundant bounties and bounties that he loved this dear country and its honorable sons, asking God Almighty to protect Oman and its people and residents, and to perpetuate them in good health, giving and reassuring.. He is the Hearing and the Answerer of supplications.
Then His Majesty reviewed the local conditions, where he stressed the importance of concerted efforts of all state institutions to accelerate the development of government services, continue implementing digital transformation initiatives, and find comprehensive solutions to challenges, in addition to employing available energies and resources for this, in order to keep pace with the current conditions. future, and enhance communication and interaction with the community and its aspirations.
His Majesty also reviewed the results of evaluating the performance of government institutions for the year 2020/21 and the efforts made by all sectors to improve performance and provide better services to keep pace with developments and achieve the public interest, noting – may God preserve him – that an independent unit will be established to follow His Majesty the Sultan to measure the performance of government institutions. Ensuring the continuity of its evaluation and proposing mechanisms to raise its efficiency, while measuring the quality of services and the satisfaction of its beneficiaries.
His Majesty also directed the establishment of a decision-making support unit under the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, with the aim of raising the level of performance by enhancing the efficiency of decision-making.
In light of His Majesty’s high interest in the employees of the state’s administrative apparatus and urging them to exert more efforts to raise the efficiency of performance during the next stage.. His Majesty – may God protect and preserve him – directed the promotion of government employees affiliated with the civil service system and other civil systems who are eligible for seniority in 2011, starting from the next year 2022 AD.

In continuation of the government’s interest in the social and economic aspects and the services and support provided by the state to citizens.. He directed – may God honor him – to fix the prices of vehicle fuel according to the average of last October 2021 AD as a maximum, and so that the government bears the differences resulting from any increase in oil prices until the end of 2022 AD .
In order to stimulate the national economy and revitalize the investment environment in general, he directed – may God preserve him – to cancel a package of fees related to the activities of some sectors, as well as reduce a number of them.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan – may God protect him and his patronage – touched on a number of aspects of concern to the country and citizens, and gave his generous instructions in this regard. His Majesty wished everyone continued repayment and success for the good and development of this dear country and its loyal sons.
