Based On His Majesty’s Directive, New Projects Approved To Revamp Musandam

Muscat: As part of His Majesty’s, the Sultan, Haitham Bin Tarik’s efforts to develop Musandam Governorate, a new directive has been issued to make the region attain comprehensive sustainable development and economic diversification in order to make it more lucrative for investment. To achieve the goals of the directive, the Council of Ministers approved several key decisions to bring His Majesty’s vision to life.
The Council of Ministers approved a package aimed at the development of the governorate, including the establishment of a branch of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences with a number of specialisations. In addition, further approvals were made, declaring Mahas area as an economic zone to regulate and enable the Port of Khasab with improved logistics.
