Are You Eligible To Receive The COVID-19 Vaccination In Oman? Click Here To Find Out

Muscat: With mass immunisation for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) underway in the Sultanate, the Ministry of Health has issued a statement asking eligible members of the public to receive the vaccination.
Eligible members of the public – both citizens and expats – have been requested to visit the nearest health institution designated for administering the vaccination without making prior appointments.
The MOH statement said: “Ministry of Health would like to draw the attention of the target groups for the COVID-19 vaccine to visit the nearest health institutions designated for giving the vaccine across the governorates of Oman without adhering to scheduled appointments for taking the vaccine depending upon the working hours of each institution.”
Who is eligible?
1) People over the age of 65 and with diabetes
2) Those with chronic lung diseases
Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD), Asthma with severity between medium and high, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Syndrome.
3) People with kidney failure and who are on dialysis
4) Healthcare workers
ICU Staff, Employees who have any of the following: diabetes, obesity (BMI more than or equal to 40), reliant on dialysis, chronic lung diseases as mentioned in (2).
