Zubair Automotive Group opens new Body Shop in Sohar

Zubair Enterprises Northern (ZEN), operating under the Zubair Automotive Group (ZAG), formally opened a new Mega Body Shop facility in Sohar recently. The new Mega Body Shop will be of great benefit to both private and commercial vehicle owners in the area, offering them a more convenient facility to carry out everything from simple vehicle repairs and painting jobs to more complex jobs such vehicle restorations; and allowing them to do so much closer to home whilst also enjoying world-class quality and service.
The new facility was opened under the auspices of Mohammed Al Kishri, General Manager of the Sohar Municipality, and in the presence of senior managers from ZAG including Sheikh Rashid Al Houti, Group Head of Corporate Office at The Zubair Automotive Group, and Manoj Ranade, the GM of General Automotive Company (GAC).
Commenting on the launch of the new Centre, Yasser Zerik, the National Service Manager of GAC said, “We have a strong commitment towards our customers and our aim is to continually provide them with the highest standards of service at all times, no matter where in the country they are located. With this new state-of-the-art facility, equipped with complementing tools and equipment, we are in a good position to offer industry-benchmark service to our ever expanding customer base in Sohar.”
The new facility is located adjacent to the Al Matar main road in the Ouhi Industrial area of Sohar. The 1,500sq.m facility is well equipped and operated by highly-trained Body Shop technicians to conduct a wide range of jobs on any vehicle, regardless of brand. It also features a 1,100sq.m of total covered area 19 total productive work bays including four work bays for body heavy repairs, eight for preparation and primer, two paint booth, two lifters for inspections, two for polishing and detailing work and one dedicated washing area. The 55sq.m reception area includes seven dedicated receiving and delivery area for customers as well as a comfortable lounge with self-service refreshments. The facility also includes ample parking space for customers including a dedicated parking for MOD and ROP and dedicated spaces for staff parking.
The new facility also features a wide variety of high-tech equipment including a computerised colour mixing station for all kinds of paints application, four-post and two-post lifters for inspections and repairs, ‘Car O Liner’ equipment for measurements of chassis and body specifications, imbedded heavy duty chassis puller for trucks and buses, two paint booth catering to commercial vehicles for painting jobs, and a wide variety of common as well as specialised tools necessary for body repairs, painting, modification, and paint restoration.
“The state-of-the-art equipment available at the Mega Body Shop allows us to offer our customers the best possible service and quality regardless of their requirement or vehicle brand. This includes everything from regular vehicular repairs and paintings, polishing and detailing, and insurance claims assistance, all the way to more complex requests such as car restoration, head lamp restoration, and paint protection,” added Yasser.
