Discover Salalah with Rotana Resort
Salalah Rotana Resort has introduced a Frankincense-inspired escape package for guests to discover the Governorate of Dhofar and its ancient heritage. Discover Salalah is an all-inclusive package with discounted room rates, bespoke tours for guests to explore the jewel of Arabia, as well as unique spa treatments designed around the use of Frankincense.
Salalah Rotana Resort’s General Manager, Hossam Kamal, said, “We are always seeking ways to ensure that our guests have the most memorable experiences and treasure their time with us. We pick what is unique to Salalah to share with our visitors and this package, with its tours of the city, allows guests to relive the past while still enjoying our modern day luxuries.”
The tour of the Governorate includes stops at the Sumharam Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Al Balid Archaeological Park for guests to step into the remains of a city once under the rule of the Queen of Sheba. The famed Land of Frankincense where the trees of WadiDawkah still stand is also visited, as is HaffaSouq for local handcrafted souvenirs, and the surrounding coconut, papaya and sugar cane plantations.
The Discover Salalah package available until December 2015 includes airport transfers, 10% off best available room rates with late checkout, complimentary Wi-Fi, breakfast for two at Saffron, daily OMR 10 Silk Road food credits, half-day tours of the city and two 60 minute Frankincense-inspired spa treatments at Zen the spa at Rotana.
The new Spa Ritual includes a foot soak with fresh petals and essential Frankincense oils as well as a full body and head massage, while soothing Frankincense is inhaled to relax both the mind and muscles during the treatment.
