Seminar held on “New Technologies in Fire Fighting”
Technical Trading Company LLC and Angus Fire Company (UK) held a special product presentation seminar on “New Technologies in Fire Fighting,” in Muscat recently.
Organised by Fire, Safety and Security Division of Technical Trading Company, the event showcased the latest technology in cool fire, range of firefighting foams including respondol and Jet Foam Fluorine Free foams.
Ibrahim Al Sulaimi, General Manager of Technical Trading Company said, “We have been working with Angus Fire Company, a leader in firefighting technology, for more than 25-years. Technical Trading Company is keen on bringing new technologies to Oman in collaboration with Angus Fire.”
The technical seminar was conducted to educate clients comprising Civil Defence, Oman Airports, PDO, Orpic and ROP among others on the new technologies in firefighting, he said. “We are keen on bringing new types of firefighting hoses to the Oman market in partnership with Angus Fire,” Ibrahim said. Ibrahim underlined the importance of firefighting equipments and safety systems in public and private properties.
Martin Hough said Angus Fire is a global leader in firefighting technology with a history in manufacturing fire protection products that can be traced back to over 200 years. Angus Fire is continuing to innovate using the latest technology to develop high quality, high performance products including hose.
Expanding product range
Yusuf Tambawalla, Deputy General Manager-Fire, Safety and Security Division, Technical Trading Company said the Fire, Safety and Security Division has expanded its product range and expertise to meet the growing demand of latest technology. The division has been providing comprehensive, engineered, integrated and intelligent solutions in firefighting systems and equipment, safety, HSE and PPE products, specialised fire brigade products and equipment and so on. “We have a rich business history and our focus is on undertaking turnkey projects.” Nick Barker of Angus UK Limited also spoke at the seminar.
Representatives from PDO, Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA)-Directorate General of Civil Defence, Oman Airports-Fire Service team, Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company, Port of Salalah, Salalah Methanol, Oman Oil Exploration and Production LLC –HSE Emergency response team, Occidental of Oman, OMIFCO, Oman LNG, Oman Airports-Fire Service team were among the invited guests.
