Leading names of the construction, infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing and design & engineering consultancies participated in the Dossier Construction’s Infrastructure Awards & Summit 2019, organized on 30th October at Sheraton Oman.

This year marked the seventh edition of the event and was organized under the auspices of Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Tourism.

His Excellency Saif bin Mohammed Al-Shabibi, Minister of Housing, was the Chief Guest and His Excellency Dr. Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of Tender Board was the Guest of Honour. The event was also graced by His Excellency Sheikh Salim Bin Mustahail Al Mashani.

The Summit begin with a presentation by Ahmed Al Shaibani, Project Manager of Manazil – Petroleum Development Oman’s Integrated Accommodation Strategy. He made the presentation on Manazil – PDO’s transformational accommodation strategy to enhance employee value proposition and improving living conditions for contractors. 

It was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Towards A Sustainable Future – Emerging Opportunities’ involving the top names from the industry including Simon Karam, Director, Sarooj Constructions; Hussain Mohammed Al Lawati, Chief Commercial Officer, Renaissance Services; Fahad Al Ismaili, Founder & CEO, Tibiaan Properties and Board Member, Omran; Ahmed Hassan, Project Manager – Ras Al Hamra Development Project, Petroleum Development Oman; Dhananjay Gulwadi, Group General Manager, Assarain Group of Companies; Maryam Hamad Al Sharji, Director – Real Estate Service Centre (DG of Real Estate Development), Ministry of Housing; Gary Brown, General Manager – Commercial Vehicles (Automotive), Zawawi Trading; and Masood Raza, Principal Architect, Atkins.

Later in the evening, the best industry performers, practices, technologies and projects were felicitated. Overall, 29 awards were presented to the deserving companies, professionals and industry leaders across various categories.

This event is instituted by Dossier magazine, published by United Media Services, part of Muscat Overseas Group. Launched in 2007, Dossier is Oman’s first Business-to-Business (B2B) publication on, construction, infrastructure and real estate sectors.
