Shaikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni named Aviation CEO of the Year
Shaikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni the CEO of Oman Airports was named Aviation CEO of the Year at the 2019 Alam Al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal Awards.

Al Hosni led the seamless grand opening of the award winning Salalah Airport in 2015 and Muscat International Airport and Duqm Airport in 2018. He is the first Omani elected for the impressive key role of Vice Chairman of the Airport Council International.
He is successfully and effectively leading Oman Airports to be a vital contributor to the nationwide vision of establishing a safe, modern, profitable and customer centric aviation sector aligned to Oman’s Vision 2040.
He keeps a strong focus on investing in Omani talent to develop the future leaders of the aviation sector in Oman, achieving a record breaking Omanisation rate of 95% at Oman Airports since he became the CEO in 2015.
In addition to his role as CEO of Oman Airports, Al Hosni holds various executive positions, including chairman of the board at Oman National Investment and Engineering and Muscat Insurance Company.
In 2017, Al Hosni was chosen to represent the Asia Pacific region at Airports Council International (ACI), the global trade representative of the world’s airport authorities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science and a Master’s degree in public administration.
