NBC event highlights marketing practices of SMEs

The National Business Centre (NBC), an initiative of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn, organised Reyooq discussion event on ‘Marketing Practices of Small and Medium Enterprises’ at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat.
The session featured speakers comprising Hashar Al Mandhari, CEO of Alamah Marketing; Ahmed Ibrahim, Founder of Thurayabiz; and Hiba Al Kiyumi, Owner of Eva Clinics. The discussion session underscored several marketing related topics of interest to the SMEs. The speakers elaborated on the significance of marketing in the early stages of the SMEs, the difference between marketing and business development, and the development of marketing strategies with the availability of limited resources. The session also highlighted the importance of utilising digital marketing tools through attractive methods, the significance of aligning the brand identity with the marketing strategy, as well as presented successful marketing models.
The Reyooq series of events come within the efforts undertaken by the National Business Centre (NBC) to highlight varied topics of significance to the entrepreneurs. NBC offers promising Omani entrepreneurs a platform to develop their business ideas and advance them into growing ventures. The centre provides several incentives to the entrepreneurs including business development support and guidance, training and mentoring, access to markets and industry experts, and state-of-the-art and fully equipped office space, meeting rooms and presentation facilities.
