Oman Oil donates OMR 15,000 to Omani Association for elderly friends
Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil), in keeping with its promise to care for communities, donated OMR 15,000 to the South Al Batinah branch of the Omani Association for Elderly Friends.
Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil), in keeping with its promise to care for communities, donated OMR 15,000 to the South Al Batinah branch of the Omani Association for Elderly Friends.
The funds have enabled the Association to immediately address the needs of its long list of aftercare senior citizen patients by providing them with the necessary health services to live easy and more fulfilling lives.
Eng. Faisal Al Shanfari, Oman Oil Marketing Company’s General Manager of Human Resources, Corporate Affairs, Procurement and Health, Safety, Security and Environment, said, “At Omanoil, our aim has always been to support people throughout the Sultanate and provide them with assistance they need. Since its formation in 2011, the Omani Association for Elderly Friends has successfully brought the needs of our senior citizens to the forefront however theirs is no easy feat and they require support to continue their invaluable work. The support we provided will assist 120 seniors with all the medical services they need.”
Omanoil aims to instill a culture of social responsibility that goes beyond the company walls. To date, the company has run far-reaching social initiatives, including road safety programmes, environmental protection and awareness campaigns, blood donation drives, and fuel station safety schemes, all with a view to enhancing the quality of life of people in the Sultanate.
A non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Social Development, the Omani Association for Elderly Friends works with private and public sector companies for the betterment of senior citizens. With a mission of facilitating access to health services, equipment and assistance, the Association maintains branches across the Sultanate to help promote and ensure the needs of elderly citizens are met.
