Jebel View International School to Launch in Muscat in September 2026 & Now Open to Visit
Artemis Education has announced the launch of Jebel View International School set to open in September 2026 in Muscat. Designed in Oman and built for Oman, Jebel View is a school of the future rooted in national pride and committed to nurturing students who carry forward the values and identity of the Sultanate. Every aspect of the school has been designed to reflect the aspirations of Omani families by providing a world-class education that honours tradition, celebrates local values, and prepares students to thrive globally while remaining meaningfully connected to their homeland.
Initially opening with the Primary School from KG1 to Grade 6, there will be a focus on fostering a close-knit community, developing a strong academic ethos and educating future generations about Oman’s rich culture and heritage. The Secondary school will open its doors in 2027, beginning with Grade 7 and expanding by one grade level each academic year until full capacity is reached in Grade 12.
Jebel View International School’s academic offering will be rooted in the Cambridge International curriculum from Early Years through to Grade 8, with students progressing to Cambridge IGCSEs and A-Levels in Grades 9 to 12. In parallel, the Omani Bilingual Diploma (GED), in line with Ministry of Education requirements, will be provided; ensuring students benefit from a dual pathway which upholds national academic standards while providing access to internationally recognised qualifications.
The purpose-built campus, located in The Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), is perfectly positioned between Muscat and Seeb on the main expressway. State of the art facilities are built around a modern, sustainable design and include STEAM labs, arts studios, and dedicated sports spaces, all aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Jebel View International School is a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and the school will work towards British Schools Overseas (BSO) status upon opening.
Sheldon Smith, Founding Principal, said, “Launching Jebel View International School gives us the opportunity to reimagine what education in Muscat can look like for the next generation. We are creating a learning culture where academic ambition is matched by creativity, resilience, and respect for others. For families, this means joining a school community from the very beginning, shaping its character and ensuring that every student benefits from a pioneering, holistic and future-focused education rooted in Omani traditions.”
As part of Artemis Education, Jebel View International School benefits from belonging to a group that is redefining international schooling across Europe and the Middle East. Artemis integrates academic excellence with a child-centered approach to education, designing next-generation campuses that provide inspiring facilities, innovative use of technology, and sustainable practices at the centre of its operations. By embedding universal values and holistic development into every school, Artemis ensures that Jebel View International School will deliver both global standards and a distinctive identity for Muscat.
Niall Brennan, CEO of Artemis Education, commented: “Oman is an important part of our regional strategy, and Muscat is the right place to establish a school that embodies Artemis Education’s values. Jebel View reflects how we design schools to be both globally recognised and locally relevant. It will stand as a benchmark for how British educational excellence can be integrated with community partnerships, sustainability, and cultural authenticity, a model that advances our mission to make outstanding education more widely accessible.” Families interested in joining Jebel View’s journey as founding members are invited to visit the school campus and take an admissions tour
