Oman’s Commerce Minister Meets With Bahraini Counterpart
Muscat: Qais Mohammed al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) met with Zayed Rashid al-Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Sunday via a virtual meeting.
During the virtual meeting, the two Ministers reviewed aspects of the joint cooperation in the field of investment. They also reviewed the available investment opportunities in the two countries, particularly in the economic diversification projects. In addition, The two sides highlighted the investment and business climate, as well as the pivotal role of the private sector in economic development.
The meeting showcased Bahrain’s experience in e-commerce and the means of regulating it. It also touched on the Bahraini experience in regulating food vending vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Omani side highlighted Oman Vision 2040 and the target economic sectors, in addition to means of supporting small and medium businesses, and entrepreneurs.
