Added Value of Enterprises in Oman Exceeds RO9B by Q4 of 2022

The total added value of enterprises by the end of the fourth quarter of 2022 in Oman amounted to RO9,237.6mn (221,523 enterprises), constituting a growth of 25.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2021, according to the latest data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The contribution of active enterprises to the gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices increased by 79.7 per cent for the fourth quarter of 2022, compared to 79.2 per cent by the fourth quarter of 2021.
The added value of large enterprises amounted to RO6,897.9mn constituting 59.5 per cent during the fourth quarter of 2022, comprising a rise of 27.6 per cent compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
Further, the added value of medium enterprises amounted to RO725mn (6.3 per cent) during the fourth quarter of 2022, comprising an increase of 20.7 per cent. Meanwhile, the added value of small enterprises reached RO749.3mn (6.5 per cent) during the fourth quarter of 2022, constituting a rise of 16.8 per cent.
The added value of micro-enterprises reached RO865.5mn (7.5 per cent) during the fourth quarter of 2022, going up by 18.4 per cent.
It is worth mentioning that the number of workers in active private enterprises in Oman increased by 16.1% to stand 1,688,110 during the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to 1,454,187 during the fourth quarter of 2021.
