Al Hudaifi has called upon local factories and companies, entrepreneurs and SMEs to take part in the construction process and offer their services in the fields of supply and implementation. Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) is getting set for the construction of KOM 6 building, which will offer distinctive spaces and new services to complement the current services offered by the other buildings. The building will have a unique exterior design with a modernist touch and contemporary architectural styles that takes into account the architectural culture connecting the interior with the exterior spaces. KOM 6 courtyard will be derived from the traditional Omani architecture. The building has been designed in such a way that reduces the direct sunlight and reduces the gained heat while maintaining the modern design and glass facades.
Large Office Space
KOM 6 will be built on an area of 51,000 square meters to serve as a hub for local and international technology and communications companies, providing more than 460 parking spaces in the basement. To keep pace with the growing demand in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat, the new building will provide large office space, banking services, commercial stores, and other services. The food court will comprise nine restaurants with indoor, outdoor and semi-outdoor dining areas. All these services will add value to KOM, making it an integrated service city as planned upon completion of all its components. KOM 6 building is expected to be completed in 2021. Shumookh had announced a competition of designing the head office building of Madayn in KOM during May 2019. The results are expected to be announced in September 2019.
