The cream of Oman’s corporate heads, including business leaders, corporate head honchos and top managers, will come to network over a game of golf on the greens of Muscat Hills on December 4 and 5, 2015. The 11th edition of OER CEO Golf, Oman’s premium corporate networking event, will be a perfect weekend rendezvous for more than 250 of Oman’s top corporate leaders to rub shoulders with one another in an eclectic atmosphere of high- powered golfing.
OER CEO Golf 2015 is organised by Oman Economic Review, Oman’s premium business magazine, and its publisher United Media Services. Ominvest, Sultanate’s largest investment group, together with its subsidiaries Oman Arab Bank and National Life & General and its major associates National Finance Company, Oman Orix Leasing Company, International General Insurance Holding and Al Ahlia, is the presenter of the event. OUA is the support partner while Takaful Oman is the Islamic banking partner. Times of Oman and Al Shabiba are the media partners of the event while Oman Printers & Stationers is the print partner.
The itinerary of the event includes a day of no-holds barred intense golfing, amidst the cool, verdant and undulating expanses of Muscat Hills on December 4, followed by a gala prize distribution ceremony and dinner which is laced with high-voltage entertainment on December 5.
Says Alpana Roy, executive vice president of United Media Services, “OER CEO Golf 2015 offers revitalisation for Oman’s corporate heavy weights, giving them an opportunity to network and compete on the greens. There are few events of this nature that can boast of such variety and all-round entertainment”. She adds, “Since its inception in 2005, OER CEO Golf has scaled new heights and is recognised as one of the biggest corporate networking events in the region. The event has evolved in line with the unprecedented changes in Oman’s golfing landscape over the last few years. When OER started its CEO Golf ten years back, golf was a sport that was played on the browns by a handful of aficionados. Today the Sultanate boasts of three world class green golf courses and hosts several international tournaments.”
OER CEO Golf promises loads of fun and surprises for both golfers and aspiring golfers. The interesting part of the event is that it is open for all business leaders, whether golfers or non-golfers so that everyone comes together and gets to network in a friendly environment. And as golfers attempt to reduce their handicaps, the non-golfers get an opportunity to learn the basics of the game and understand the joys of getting into serious golfing. This is the opportunity for real top-flight brands to be associated with such a high-profile event in Oman as it’s become the most anticipated up-market event of the year in Oman, and every year, UMS tries to make it bigger and more exciting.
